Featured Rocking Chair: White Painted Americana Outdoor Rocking Chair
Location: Wild Dunes Resort, Isle of Palms, SC
Intended Use: Comfortable, durable chairs
Special Considerations: Weatherproof, White Painted
Client Testimonial: “We are very happy with these outdoor chairs and they are holding up very well. We are pleased we made the decision to buy brazilian cherry rather than oak because they hold up outside so much better. Wild Dunes is located on the Isle of Palms near Charleston on the South Carolina Coast where they get full sun, rain, and seabreeze throughout the year.”
-Dave Kynoski, General Manager, Wild Dunes Community Association

The Wild Dunes Resort is a 4-star, 1600 acre resort on the tip of Isle of Palms, a barrier island off South Carolina, where guests enjoy the spirit of the Carolina Lowcountry in a relaxing, peaceful atmosphere.
The Resort wanted to add the ambience of rocking chairs to their clubhouse and sought out a durable chair that would stand up to the severe weather of the Atlantic Coast. Making the challenge greater still was the desire for a white painted chair. Since almost all painted rockers are made from non-weatherproof woods, Wild Dunes tried to locate a rocker made from a weatherproof wood that could be painted. That wood was brazilian cherry, the wood used to make Frontera’s weatherproof rockers.
