<p>Made of weather-resistant Brazilian Cherry, the George Washington Rocker is a classic Shaker style, with a high back and wide double headrest. It is almost identical in style to our <a href="/products/franklin">Franklin</a> rocker, but 2&quot; deeper and with slightly thicker structural elements throughout. It is beautifully proportioned, with comfortable, solid arms, and comfortably contoured seat slats. Also, the seat slats are &#8220;capped&#8221; with a nice smooth crosspiece in front for added comfort. The back posts are not straight &#8211; they are cut with an angle that makes the chair incredibly comfortable. The headrest and back slats are contoured from left to right for comfort as well. Runners and posts are thick, and there are attractive side slats on each side that cover the seat slats as viewed from the side.
